Is a First Look a Good Idea?

If you are planning a wedding, I am sure the thought of doing a first look has crossed your mind. The debate between seeing your partner before the ceremony or waiting until the ceremony to see one another can be taunting. Which is the right choice? Before I go any further, let me explain what a first look is. A first look is a new and modern trend where the couple has the opportunity to see one another before the wedding ceremony. One person is usually positioned looking away out over the golf course, by the willow trees , or someplace with a beautiful back drop. Then, their partner will meet them and they see each other for the first time on their wedding day. This very intimate and highly anticipated moment [...]

A Dog In Your Wedding?

Your heard right. More and more wedding couples have been including their furry K9 friend (or friends) in their big day. But lets be honest, what is cuter than a pup in a tux? (Or dress!) Pets play a huge role in people's lives, and many couples feel their family is incomplete without their dog's involvement. So why not creatively include them in your wedding party? Here are a few things to consider before your pet joins you and your fiancée on the the big day. 1. Consider your pet's personality Different couples choose different roles for their pets during the ceremony. You may have them simply stand next to the groomsmen or bridesmaid, or give them a bigger role such as walking down the aisle as the ring bearer. If your pet is skittish consider having [...]

Naked Cakes…?

A wedding cake design that bares all- introducing the naked cake! Now before you go jumping to conclusions, let me explain what I mean by this. A traditional wedding cake has frosting on the outside, but the naked wedding cake uses frosting in a different way. The frosting is typically placed in between the layers,  leaving the outside of the cake completely exposed. This gives the cake an entirely new and unique look.   Even though there is no icing to give the cake that "pretty" factor,  the naked cake does not disappoint. These unfrosted beauties come in all different shapes, sizes, colors, and designs. Multiple flavors give certain looks and textures which makes each cake different. Fresh fruits and flowers, edible garnishes, powdered sugar, rosemary, caramel- anything you like!- can be used to give the cake a [...]
