Are you prepared in every aspect of your wedding? Well, let us help you. Here are 5 helpful hints that will help you through your special day. Some may sound silly, but believe us, these things are often forgotten. Enjoy!
Look at each other during your ceremony, NOT your officiant
Sounds like a no-brainer, right? Couples almost always make this mistake. Remember you are marrying each other, NOT your officiant. So when you say your vows, you should gaze into your lovers eyes instead of awkwardly mouthing them to the officiant.
Use a Crochet Hook
Tiny buttons are such a gorgeous detail, but can take forever to button if just using your fingers. So instead, use a crochet hook! This tool will save a lot of time and aggravation. Just insert the hook into the loop and pull across the button. Voila!
To Wash or Not to Wash
Squeaky clean hair is very appealing, but it can be difficult to work with freshly washed locks. The natural oils can help mold an updo into place. Your best bet? Wash your hair 12-24 hours before your scheduled do to avoid static and loose locks.
Prepare for rain
We know, every one’s worst nightmare. If Mother Nature isn’t on her best behavior the day of the wedding, take out those matching umbrellas and rain boots and have some fun! Don’t be afraid to splash around to make those wedding photos truly one of a kind. Make the best of it, and you might just get an amazing photo like Emily and Chris did – See Below :)
Don’t go hungry!
Don’t forget to eat! Your nerves are sure to be all over the place, but that is no excuse. Make sure to fill your tummy with a hearty breakfast and some snacks along the way. Going through the day on an empty stomach isn’t helpful in dealing with all the excitement. Not to worry though – at West Hills Country Club, we make sure you’ve had plenty to eat!
