My situation with some couples booked at West Hills is a bit unique. Elora, another event coordinator in our office, left our facility to go back to school and pursue a different career path. Along with that, she left behind couples she had been working with. I will be completely honest, I am always a bit nervous when meeting with these new couples for the first time because I am not sure how they will react to working with somebody new. I understand though, trusting a new face when it comes your wedding day might be a bit nerve racking!
The first time I met Stephanie was at her menu visit. Both her and her mother came in to pick our their food choices, table linens, waterfall colors and much more. It didn’t take very long for Stephanie and I to gain our own type of relationship. She is an absolute sweetheart!
Stephanie and Robert met while working on a cruise ship. You could clearly see and feel the love these two had for each other when they were together. They both share a passion for theater and it really shown through at their wedding. When Stephanie began to walk down the aisle to her future husband, the couple sang the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri to one another. It was beautiful, and I adore how unique it was.
The day before their wedding at their rehearsal, the couple was so thoughtful and gave me a gift as a thank you. It was an Alex and Ani bracelet with an anchor on it, representing them and their history on cruise ships. I wear it nearly every day, and every time I see it, it reminds me of Stephanie and Robert and other wonderful couples like them. It is truly an honor to be a part of such a special day in each couple’s lives and is something I absolutely love about what I do.
I wish you both Robert and Stephanie the best, you are a beautiful couple inside and out. ♥janelle
