Making the Most of Your Club Visit

Welcome to West Hills Country Club, a private oasis in Middletown, NY, dedicated to delivering a unique golfing experience. We’re delighted to have you as our guest, and to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible, we kindly ask that you familiarize yourself with our club policies.

Visiting The Club

Guests are warmly invited to our club when accompanied by a member. Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before your hosting member. When a member leaves West Hills Country Club, so must his guests.

Proper Attire

Club policy requires that all members and their guests wear proper attire while on the golf course and in the clubhouse. Shirts with collars or mock turtle necks are required. Hats must be worn forward. Bermuda length shorts may be worn. Jeans, denims, short shorts, cutoffs, and tank tops are not considered proper golf attire and are not permitted.

Golf Shoes

To preserve the integrity of our course, all golf shoes must be spikeless.

Pace of Play

Our expected pace of play for a fourball is no more than four hours, so you are encouraged to play at a brisk pace.

Course Etiquette

Respect for our course is a shared responsibility. Players are kindly requested to rake sand bunkers, repair divots, and mend ball marks. Please dispose of all litter, cigarette/cigar butts, and any waste in the designated containers. Golf cart operators should hold a valid driver’s license, use the tunnel when crossing the road, stay at least 50 feet away from greens, and adhere to cart paths around tee areas. Carts must never enter wet, steep, restricted, or marked areas.

Proper Conduct

Golf is a sport founded on tradition, honor, and dignity. We uphold these values by not tolerating berating of employees or fellow golfers, club property damage, or abusive language.

Lightning Safety

In the interest of safety, we adhere to USGA and West Hills Country Club regulations. Our club is equipped with an automatic lightning detection system for the protection of our members. When the system signals a warning while you are on the course or range, it is imperative that you immediately cease play and return to the clubhouse. Non-compliance with this rule may result in club suspension.

We thank you for your cooperation and look forward to providing you with a memorable experience at West Hills Country Club.
