Guest Information

Welcome to the West Hills Country Club, a private country club located in Middletown, NY. We are committed to providing you with a unique golf experience and we hope your stay is most enjoyable. Toward that end, it is important that you abide by our policies. Please spend a moment to review.

Visiting the Club

Guests must be accompanied by a member at all times and should not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to their member host. When a member leaves West Hills Country Club, so must his guests.

Proper Attire

Club policy requires that all members and their guests wear proper attire while on the golf course and in the clubhouse. Shirts with collars or mock turtle necks are required. Hats must be worn forward. Bermuda length shorts may be worn. Jeans, denims, short shorts, cutoffs, and tank tops are not considered proper golf attire and are not permitted.

Golf Shoes

All golf shoes shall be spikeless.

Pace of Play

Our expected pace of play for a fourball is no more than four hours, so you are encouraged to play at a brisk pace.

Keeping the Course

It is the players responsibility to properly rake sand bunkers and fix or replace divots and ball marks.

Please discard all trash and cigarette/cigar butts in the appropriate container. Golf Cart Operators must have a valid drivers license. Carts must utilize the tunnel when crossing the roadway at all times. Carts must not be driven within 50 feet of a green. Carts must never be driven through an extremely wet area, on steep slopes, or in roped, restricted or marked areas. Carts must also be kept on cart paths around all tee areas.

Proper Conduct

Golf is a game of tradition, built on honor and dignity. Aligned with this tradition, the berating of employees or other golfers, the throwing of clubs, the destruction of club property or any abusive language will not be tolerated.

Lightning Safety

These regulations are per the USGA and the West Hills Country Club. The club has installed an automatic lightning detection system for member protection. If you are on the course/range when the system sounds a warning you MUST immediately discontinue play and return to the clubhouse. If you fail to comply with this rule, you are subject to suspension from the club.
