“Where are the best places to take pictures on the course?” is a common question I receive from couples. To be honest, there are SO many different areas to get pictures on the West Hills golf course. We have willow trees, a bridge crossing the Wallkill River, wild flowers, a tunnel, and much more. Here is a guide to some of the most popular picture spots you will want to make sure you take advantage of on your wedding day.

Hole 11 – The Bridge

This is the most popular and iconic spot on our course. The historic suspension bridge was built in 1928 and crosses over the Wallkill River. It is centrally located on the course making it easily accessible for you and your new husband or wife.

Hole 12

You will pass this hole on your way to the bridge, so you do not have to go far out of the way to get here (which is great when you are pressed for time!). We have stunning willow trees and flower beds that allow for a variety of pictures to be captured.

Hole 6

We nickname this “the lookout”. This hole sits high on a hill with an impeccable view. Photographers can really get creative which means for some amazing photos.

Hole 1 – The Tunnel

Our tunnel is another area that photographers tend to take advantage of. The tunnel goes under the road connecting holes 1-12 to 13-18. You will go through the tunnel on your way to holes 1-12, so you can’t miss it.

Hole 4

There are a couple places you can go at hole 4. When you arrive, the cart path runs directly to the right, along a tree line, making it an easy go-to spot for pictures. If you go to the left, you will find a tee box set high on a hill creating a beautiful back drop.

Hole 13

Sitting right behind the ceremony area, within walking distance of the Outdoor Ballroom, hole 13 is the ideal place for pictures with the wedding party, family, and friends. The sun sets behind this hole making it an easy spot to access during the reception for sun set pictures.
